CNC Machinist – Precision, Innovation, Excellence
A leading manufacturing organization is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join its dynamic machining team. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced CNC machines, including lathes, horizontal and vertical mills, and 5-axis mills, to produce high-quality components. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Perform setups on CNC machines, including lathes, horizontal mills, vertical mills, and 5-axis mills, efficiently and safely.
- Layout components to verify stock and ensure machinability.
- Operate CNC machine tools, such as vertical turning mills and horizontal boring mills, to machine parts to exact specifications.
- Edit CNC programs as needed to ensure accuracy and optimize productivity.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using strong mathematical skills.
- Verify component quality using precision inspection tools, including micrometers and Vernier calipers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- PA State Approved Journeyman Machinist or Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification.
- Ability to pass a physical examination.
- Knowledge of G and M codes is a plus.
- Strong ability to interpret and work from blueprints.
Physical Demands
This role requires physical activity typical of a machining environment, including:
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Lifting and handling materials or equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Fine motor skills and visual acuity for precision machining and inspection.
