A designer and manufacturer of precision tooling, fixtures, gages, and custom machinery is
looking for a
skilled and motivated machinist
to join their team. This is a
non-production, first-shift
position focused on
custom part fabrication, including machining, refurbishing obsolete parts, and supporting tool builds.
The ideal candidate has experience with both
CNC and manual machining, enjoys hands-on, detailed work, and thrives in a clean, relaxed environment where independence and accountability are valued.
Shift:
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Some overtime may be required depending on project needs
Pay Range:
- $20–$25/hr
for early-career candidates (1–2 years of experience or recent tech school grads)
- Up to $30/hr
for experienced machinists
- $30–$40/hr
for highly experienced machinists
- Final pay rate based on skillset and experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate
CNC machines
to produce custom components
- Perform
manual machining
tasks, including operation of tool room equipment
- Machine or refurbish
unique and obsolete parts
that cannot be commercially sourced
- Assist with
reverse engineering,
tool build, and
assembly
as needed
- Work independently without constant oversight
- Maintain a
clean and safe
work environment
- Collaborate with a
tight-knit, low-drama team
that values reliability and humility
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in CNC and/or manual machining
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, or CAD models
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
- Willingness to jump in and support other areas of the shop when needed
- Dependable, self-motivated, and a good team player
- Tool build, reverse engineering, or assembly experience is a plus
