Position Summary
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinists to support high-quality manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate combines strong machining knowledge with hands-on problem-solving ability and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds for efficient production.
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs or machine settings as needed.
- Optimize cycle times and machining processes to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
- Maintain production schedules while ensuring product quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, materials, and tolerances.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
- Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Siemens, or similar controls preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Manual dexterity and ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment.
Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, machine noise, metal shavings, lubricants, and moving mechanical parts. Proper PPE and safety procedures are required at all times.
