Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various machine tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine machining specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a machinist or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in operating CNC and manual machining equipment.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • G-Code
  • Tape Measure Reading
  • M-Code
  • CNC Machine Setup & Changeover
  • Machine Setups for Production Runs

Machines & technologies you'll use:

  • CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC)
  • CNC Lathe (2-4 axis)
  • CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC)
  • CNC Lathe (5+ axis)
