Job Description: Machinist – CNC Machining & Ultra-Precision Manufacturing

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Machinist with experience in CNC machining and ultra-precision manufacturing to join our team. This individual will be responsible for producing complex, high-quality components with extremely tight tolerances while maintaining exceptional accuracy, consistency, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong machining background, attention to detail, and experience working with precision manufacturing equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines to manufacture precision components.
• Produce complex parts to extremely tight tolerances and exact specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical documents.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and machining methods to optimize production efficiency and quality.
• Perform machine adjustments and offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Monitor machining operations and make process improvements to maximize productivity and minimize scrap.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machining equipment.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or machining certification preferred.
• 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with ultra-precision manufacturing and machining complex components with tight tolerances.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and understand GD&T.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machine setup, tooling, cutting parameters, and machining processes.
• Proficiency using precision measurement equipment and inspection tools.
• Experience with CNC programming or editing programs is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise and moving equipment
