Job Description

Summary/objective 

Build and maintain plastic injection molds and components from detailed prints and sketches.

Essential functions

• Able to proficiently use all machine shop equipment with extreme accuracy.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Must be familiar with metallurgy and heat treatment of steel.
• Able to lay out and make best use of materials and time to efficiently complete job assignments.
• Able to work with Production and Engineering and interpret needs to enable improved designs and processes.
• Able to use all precision measuring instruments.
• Must be able to make accurate sketches of existing components.

Competencies

• Candidates must be proficient where all forms of Machine shop equipment are used to produce fixturing, perform repairs to existing fixturing. 

Required education and experience.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5 years Machine Shop experience.

Preferred Education and experience

• Vocational Degree in Machinist or CNC
