Role OverviewTurn complex engineering designs into precise, production-ready CNC programs. In this role, you’ll drive machining strategy, validate programs on the shop floor, and help improve manufacturing performance from prototype through full-rate production.
Key Responsibilities• Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines
• Interpret engineering drawings and define machining approaches
• Select tooling, speeds, and feeds to balance precision and efficiency
• Validate programs through machine prove-outs and setup support
• Troubleshoot machining and production issues in real time
• Create and maintain clear manufacturing work instructions
• Train and support machine operators as needed
• Assist with new equipment setup and production ramp-up
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve processes
• Support tooling and fixture development for repeatability and performance

To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements listed:• Minimum of 3 years experience programming CNC machines (3-, 4-, and 5-axis)
• Proficiency with CAM software for CNC programming
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, speeds, and feeds
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and define machining strategies
• Experience validating CNC programs (prove-outs) and troubleshooting production issues
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with engineering and production teams
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
• Ability to work on-site full-time
Desired skills
Nice-to-have skills that strengthen candidacy but are not required:• Experience with Siemens NX CAM software
• Familiarity with Mazak / Mazatrol controllers
• Experience with tooling or fixture design
• Background in process improvement or lean manufacturing
• Experience supporting new product introduction or production ramp-up

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Security Clearance Information
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $93,800 - $162,610. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
