DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installs and repairs CNC machinery.
- Studies blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.
- Installs equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Operates system to demonstrate equipment and analyze malfunctions.
- Interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics while using standard test instruments and hand tools.
- Consults with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.
- Inspects assembled equipment to ensure proper installation.
- Inspects all operating parts to ensure proper operation within expected tolerances.
- Tunes and troubleshoots equipment for proper operation.
- Interacts with internal and external project managers during field projects.
- Interacts with supervisors and customers regarding status of projects daily.
- Determines tools and equipment required to perform scope of job.
- Performs routine maintenance on equipment and assists in establishing preventative maintenance schedules with customers.
- Assembles, aligns and installs equipment as necessary.
- Measures tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages and other instruments used in performing tool room tasks.
- Reports accidents or mistakes immediately.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

- Education and/or Experience - High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate). No machine technician experience necessary.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- **Computer Skills - **To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires an above-average knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- **Other Qualifications **- Valid driver’s license is required; Must be able to travel 15-20% of the time; Overnight stays may be necessary and possible travel 1-2 weeks at a time.
- CNC Control Knowledge: Must know Fanuc Controls

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is to remain in a stationary position for 20 percent of the time while operating the machine on the shop floor. They constantly operate motorized equipment and machines. The individual needs to constantly move about on the shop floor to transport parts, access tools, equipment, parts, and other necessary items to complete the work order. The individual frequently positions self to operate and repair machines, including underneath and above the machine. Most of the activities involve fine and gross manipulation of items. They must be able to exchange accurate information with other individuals in the office and shop. Must be able to detect mechanical issues and part defects from short distances to determine what action needs to be taken. They must regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds. The individual must be capable of carrying and loading different parts and tools required to do the job.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Due to exposure of machinery and electrical currents, employees are required to wear personal protective equipment. During warmer months, the required personal protective equipment may cause the employee to be very warm while working. The individual will be exposed to loud machinery or equipment.
