About the Job
Start time 6:00am. Monday - Friday 10 -12 hour shifts.
We are seeking a high-performing, highly skilled Lead Technician / Team Leader who can work independently with little to no direction. The ideal candidate is a top performer who consistently exceeds expectations and is recognized as an expert in their field. This role involves leading by example, coordinating team activities, solving technical problems, and ensuring quality and safety standards are upheld.
Responsibilities
- Plan, assign, and direct work activities while resolving technical and job-related challenges.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to determine work requirements and delegate tasks.
- Enforce company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet build schedules and improve efficiency.
- Recommend process improvements, equipment usage changes, and working condition enhancements.
- Motivate and support team members to achieve performance goals.
- Estimate, inspect, and track materials while coordinating with other leaders and departments.
- Maintain organizational systems including job shelves, written work plans, and material follow-ups.
- Collaborate with other leaders during the build phase to ensure smooth operations.
- Support PLC Programmers with tool functionality and system validation.
- Provide weekly E-BOM updates to the Electrical Supervisor.
- Participate in team meetings, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
Experience & Physical Requirements
- 10+ years of related technical or supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Hands-on ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds, climb, balance, kneel, and work in environments with moving mechanical parts and moderate noise.
- Comfortable working around electrical equipment and occasionally in high, elevated areas.
Education
- Associate degree in a technical disciplineORequivalent professional experience (10+ years).
Skills
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, technical procedures, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage non-standard situations.
- Proficient in advanced math concepts, including geometry, trigonometry, ratios, and proportions.
- Skilled in writing clear reports, procedures, and business correspondence.
- Effective communicator with experience presenting to managers, clients, and teams.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills, including the ability to manage schedules and priorities
