Title: Part-Time Quality Inspector (Optional Machine Operation)

Overview:

LTL Machining is a 100-year-old precision machine shop seeking a part-time Quality Inspector to work ~15–20 hours per week. This role is ideal for a semi-retired machinist or inspector looking to stay active in the trade without the fulltime hours.

If you're also comfortable running CNC machines, we can offer extra hours — but that’s completely optional.

Job Type: Part-Time (15–20 hrs/week)

Schedule: Flexible daytime hours

Responsibilities:

• Inspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, height gages, and more
• Perform in-process and final inspections to verify dimensional accuracy
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Document inspection results and support shop quality efforts
• (Optional) Operate CNC mills or lathes when inspection volume is low or for extra hours.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in machining or quality inspection
• Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances
• Detail-oriented and dependable
• Comfortable working independently in a small, high-quality shop
• CNC machine operation is a plus, but not required
