We are a 48-year-old machine shop specializing in fabricating custom industrial replacement parts. At Rempco, we manufacture the components that keep America’s most vital industries moving. We specialize in precision machining, custom threading, and complex mechanical manufacturing for high-consequence applications—from naval defense systems and aerospace assemblies to robotics, oil drilling and rail. We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Machine Shop Estimator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing technical drawings, calculating precise material and manufacturing costs, and preparing competitive quotes for manual and CNC machining, custom fabrication, and assembly projects. The ideal candidate blends technical knowledge of machining processes with strong analytical skills to ensure profitability and accuracy.

**Key Responsibilities:

**

• Review and interpret prints, 3D CAD models, RFQs, and customer specifications.

• Estimate routing and process cycle times for milling, turning, CNC and manual machining, and fabrication.

• Calculate raw material requirements, hardware needs, and outside processing costs (e.g., heat treating, chroming, etc).

• Develop accurate labor, material, and manufacturing cost structures to produce competitive customer quotes in our quoting/ERP system

• Collaborate with production and engineering to verify manufacturing capabilities and lead times.

• Maintain and update the shop’s ERP/quoting system data to ensure pricing consistency and historical accuracy.

• Deliver IMPECCABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - this position is the front-line expert for Rempco. It requires prompt responses, quick turns on quotes, and excellent communication skills which include communicating technical constraints and delivery expectations, and collaborating with engineering teams.
