Machine Setup Associate / Material Handler

Schedule: 

• 1st Shift: 6:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Thursday
• Occasional mandatory OT on Fridays that is communicated ahead of time
• Enjoy a 4-day work week, with 3 days off

Job Description: The Machine Setup Associate/Material Handler will maintain production by completing all required wrapping line set ups, film changes, and product changeovers.  They will maintain a steady flow of material to each scheduled wrapping line, as well as the removal and breakdown of empty boxes.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Keeping appropriate film staged for all scheduled wrapping lines

• Completes wrapping line change overs
• Responds to Wrapping line ANDON lights 
  1. Basic maintenance related to film tracking, package length, print location, etc.
  2. Film changes
  3. Product change overs
• Load molded product boxes on wrapping line conveyors
• Load matching job number boxes on pack tables
• Remove leftover product from WIP conveyors
• Remove empty pallets from WIP conveyors and return to pallet storage area
• Maintains the workplace and warehouse in a neat, clean and orderly condition
• Supports Company’s goals and values.
• May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Knowledge and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).  
• 1-year manufacturing experience.
• Forklift Certification or ability to obtain certification. 
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• Organization, Scheduling, analyzing information, dealing with complexity, deadline-oriented, time management, process improvement, safety management, inventory control, lifting, data entry skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.   
• Regularly required to move about the facility to move, transport, and remove material.  
• Lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently.  
• Occasionally required to move up to 60 pounds.
