Duties of the Machine Repair Technician:

Duties of the Machine Repair Technician:
- Maintain, install, and repair a variety of machine tools and equipment
- Tear down damaged or defective units
- May replace or repair worn or damaged parts or components and reassemble
- May perform some machining on replacement parts or may do electrical troubleshooting and repairs on CNC, manual, or other plant machines
- Perform preventative maintenance on building equipment, machines, mobile equipment
- Assists Machine Repair and Mobile Equipment Mechanic as necessary
- May perform minor building maintenance but not limited to: Light Electrical, Plumbing, Cement Work, etc.
Requirements of the Machine Repair Technician:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with: MACHINE TOOL MAINTENANCE, MACHINE TOOL INSTALLATION, MACHINE TOOL REPAIR, ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING, CNC MACHINE REPAIR
- Additional experience with the following is required: PLUMBING, MANUAL MACHINE REPAIR, PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE, BUILDING EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE, MOBILE EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE, LIGHT ELECTRICAL WORK, CEMENT WORK, ETC.
