Job Overview:

Machine Repair Maintenance Technician

Location:

Elkton, MI

Contract:

6-month (contract to hire/permanent)

Schedule:

2nd shift (3pm – 11pm)

Compensation:

$33.86/hour + $0.60/hour premium for 2nd shift

Shift and Pay

  • **Hourly Rate:

    ** $33.86/hr

  • **2nd Shift:

    ** 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (+$0.60/hr shift premium)

  • **3rd Shift:

    ** 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (+$0.75/hr shift premium)

Job Summary

As a Machine Repair Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning machines (e.g., transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, and cables)

  • Replace damaged or faulty electrical components (e.g., relays, switches, motors, and sensing devices)

  • Test malfunctioning machinery and coordinate with personnel from production, maintenance, and tool room departments to determine root causes

  • Dismantle machines and equipment to access and resolve issues

  • Inspect and measure parts to identify wear, misalignment, or other problems

  • Remove and replace worn or broken parts

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with large metal stamping presses

  • Proficiency working with robotic welding machines (especially Fanuc)

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with steel, iron, aluminum, and other metals

  • **Maintenance Tech Journeyman card

    ** or at least 8 years of verifiable maintenance experience

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
