Job Title: Machine Press Operator - Blanking, 2nd Shift
As a Machine Press Operator - Blanking in our Production department within the Blades business, your goal is to successfully set up and operate presses, mills and auto-forming machines to achieve specified formed blade dimensions.
You can expect to:
- Set up and operate blanking presses according to production specifications and work orders
- Load raw materials (metal sheets, coils, or plates) into the press
- Monitor press operation to ensure proper cutting and shaping of metal parts
- Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
- Adjust machine settings, tooling, and dies to maintain product quality
- Perform basic troubleshooting and report mechanical issues to maintenance personnel
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Maintain accurate production records, including quantities, scrap, and downtime
- Ensure all safety protocols and PPE requirements are followed at all times
- Remove finished parts and scrap materials safely from work area
- Collaborate with supervisors and quality teams to improve processes and efficiency

Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work over time as needed during the busy season November – April (approx. 2 days per month)
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- Experience working as a press operator
- Experience driving a forklift
- Experience working with manufacturing quality checks and tools using a dial caliper and a height gauge
- Experience working from drawings and samples
- Knowledge of metal stampings industry
Physical | Visual Demands:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to wear appropriate, required PPE
Work Environment:
- Loud (Examples: metal can, manufacturing department, large earth moving equipment)
