Seeking Machine Operators with set up experience.
Summary: Under general supervision performs a variety of duties, which require a thorough knowledge of tasks, including operation of a variety of equipment to process material as specified by work order and specific blueprints and diagrams of the part.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Clock in labor tracking program using basic computer skills.
- Follows verbal and written work instructions and procedures specific to job orders (i.e. routers, travelers)
- Operates equipment or performs processes using efficient procedures to ensure meeting production standards, (i.e. Assembly, Packing, Bending, Piercing, Deburring, Sawing, Sorting, Reworking, Buffing, Load jigs, helping other operators, Loading and unloading parts from lines or machines i.e. use crane to move material from degrease tank to racks, Operate aging equipment per standards with authorized training,
- Uses necessary measuring tools to ensure required quality standards are met and performs quality checks per requirements.
- Maintains all traceability of product recording written data to work order.
- Safety moves product and long tools through work cell by hand or carts.
- Communicate with team members on daily material process flow, to include safety and continuous improvement projects.
- Seeks assistance of lead persons to make necessary adjustments to machinery and equipment.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Team
- Follow safety policy, i.e. Safety procedures, OSHA requirements, PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area by practicing basic shop housekeeping.
Earning potential: Starting at $20.50/hr and goes up to $23.25/hr (3 yr rate) plus shift premium when applicable. Secondary II starts at $21.50/hr and goes up to $24.25/hr (3 yr rate)
Hours/Shifts:
1st shift: 5:00AM - 3:30PM Monday to Thursday, OT as needed
Education/Experience/Skills:
- One-to-three months related experience, including: manufacturing or similar environment as parts loader/unloader, machine operator and/or part inspector.
- Computer Skills are required - to perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software and ability to learn how to new programs.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 regularly as needed.
- Must be able to work shift assigned and overtime as needed.
Preferred Applicants Will Also Have:
- Consistent experience in manufacturing
- Preferred experience includes machine set-up, perform part inspections, and reading blueprints
