Machine Operator – Multiple Departments
We are seeking dependable Machine Operators for full-time manufacturing positions across several production departments, including Die Cast, Knobline, Punch Press, and Stake Flag. This is a long-term opportunity with room to learn additional equipment and advance within the company.
Candidates must have a stable work history, be mechanically inclined, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous machine-operation or factory experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery
- Load raw materials, parts, or components into assigned equipment
- Follow work orders, production specifications, and setup instructions
- Make basic machine adjustments to maintain production and part quality
- Monitor equipment for jams, defects, or operating issues
- Perform visual inspections and basic quality checks on finished products
- Use gauges, calipers, or other measuring tools when required
- Remove, trim, assemble, or package completed parts
- Complete production paperwork and accurately record output
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment
- Assist with changeovers, tooling, roll changes, and minor troubleshooting as trained
Department-Specific Work May Include
- Die Cast: Operating die-casting equipment, handling molded metal parts, removing excess material, and inspecting finished components
- Knobline: Operating and monitoring production equipment used to manufacture and assemble knob components
- Punch Press: Setting and operating progressive stamping equipment, loading coils, monitoring dies, installing guards, checking parts, and submitting first-piece inspections
- Stake Flag: Operating wire-cutting and production equipment used to manufacture and assemble marking flags and wire stakes
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous manufacturing, machine-operation, or production experience preferred
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn different machines
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
- Basic measuring-tool experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable attendance and stable work history
- Willingness to cross-train and work in different production departments
- Ability to work safely around moving machinery, metal components, and production equipment
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for the majority of the shift
- Perform repetitive hand, arm, and body movements
- Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and handle materials
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Work in a manufacturing environment that may include noise, heat, and moving equipment
