Job Overview:

Job Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for performing all functions related to daily production output, including operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient and accurate production. This role requires the use of computers, CAD programs, basic hand tools, and precision measurement instruments to meet quality and safety standards. Attention to detail, adherence to production schedules, and commitment to workplace safety are essential.

Shift Information:
This position is scheduled for a weekend shift, working Friday through Sunday from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Training:
Two-to-three-week training is required on first shift (Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) before transitioning to the weekend shift

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Program, setup and operate a CNC Press Brake, preferably Amada or Trumpf
  • Communicate with production leads
  • Inspect production parts
  • Maintain work area and ensure a clean, safe work environment
  • Work with Quality, Environmental, H&S employees to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of Quality  
  • Has the obligation to be aware of and comply with environmental, safety policies and regulations and endure duties of high-quality standards

Job Requirements: 

  • 2 years minimum experience in programming and setup 
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D prints, 3D models, and work instructions
  • Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds/feeds, CAT40 tooling setup, etc.
  • Ability to use basic measurement instruments to verify components meet requirements
  • Ability to communicate verbally
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Willingness to adapt and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs, Stand and Bend frequently without issue
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled production environment
