Job Summary

Operate machine and do set ups. Operates and programs the forming press. Must know how to operate the following machines: Amada RG, TRUMPF truebend 5130 and or TRUMPF Truebend 7036. Responsible for meeting safety, quality and productivity expectations.

1. Under minimal supervision, sets up, operates and programs the Amada forming press including loading/unloading material and changing tooling.
2. Inspects and maintains equipment for compliance with safety requirements.  Corrects any safety issues prior to performing operations.
3. Inspects parts per work in process inspection procedure and ensures they meet engineering specifications.  Resolves quality and mechanical problems, making minor repairs and equipment adjustments as needed.
4. Prioritizes production runs to ensure that customer orders are completed in a timely manner, while maximizing machine run time and productivity.
5. Maintains machine and tooling clean and in good shape.  Replaces die and punch holders as required to ensure safe machine operation.
6. Works from blueprints, engineering specifications and production schedules.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience with press operations.
• Experience with Amada forming a plus.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Capable of using measuring devices as required for product inspection.
• Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demand dictates.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Frequent standing, walking, carrying, stooping, and crouching
• Lift 40 lbs.

Pay Range is $20.00-$25.00 per hour DOE
