Position Overview:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment/machine.
Responsibilities:
● Setting up manufacturing equipment for daily use.
● Maintaining equipment and machinery so they can operate safely.
● Training and overseeing other employees on specialty machines.
● Maintaining the understanding of operating procedures for their machines.
● Proposing improvements to the process or machines as needed.
● Reporting safety hazards within the work environment.
Qualifications:
● Must have Brake Press experience.
● Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot potential issues.
● Resourcefulness in learning new manuals and processes.
● Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to understand mechanics and technical tasks.
● Ability to identify issues or problems in operations or maintenance.
● Mechanical and technical skills.
● Physical stamina and strength.
● Safety management mindset.
● Focus on quality control.
● Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.
● Color vision may be required if your company makes electrical and electronic products that include color-coded wiring.
● Mechanical and technical skills.
● Ability to problem solve and understand labels and written instructions.
● Lifting requirements up to 25lbs, must be able to bend, twist and reach.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
● High school diploma or GED
● 1+ years of Machine Operator and Preventative Maintenance experience.
● Ability to read and understand blueprints/CAD drawings.
● Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Email.
● Ability to work with pneumatic and battery powered tools.
