This position starts at $21.75/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. We have open positions for second shift.

This facility operates five days a week and produces Sausage Patties, Sausage Links and Roll Sausage.

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Responsible for assisting with the breakdown/setup of KP Production Equipment including but not limited to

KP Cozzini Pumps/KP Machines/Rework Pumps/Equipment within KP area, while also adhering to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for assisting with the breakdown/setup of Log Form Cozzini Pumps/KP Machines/Rework Pumps/Equipment within Log Form area.
  • Assist with breakdown/setup of Batching/Thermutator/Fat Addition pumps and pipes.
  • Monitor set up CIP pipes.
  • Aid in set up/troubleshooting.
  • Running CIP Circuits which includes but is not limited to the following:
  • Set up pipes at control panel
  • Install chart in recorder for graph of each run
  • Start systems at computer control and document data on paperwork
  • Start and stop times of each cycle
  • Titrate and log soap and sanitizer concentrations
  • Monitor all air valves functioning, documenting the operation of metal detector air valves
  • Maximum temperature reached during each cycle
  • Take bioluminescence swabs of each circuit run
  • Check swabs using Charm unit
  • Record results on CIP paperwork
  • Turn in completed paperwork to supervisor office and set controls back to production run at conclusion of passing results of all circuits run.
  • Chemical management within area is required by operator.
  • Keeping area clean and free of debris and trash is required along with management of CIP room and sanitation tool cage following 6S Guidelines.
  • Perform random breakdown of pipes to evaluate seals and clamps.
  • Perform scheduled auto task of visual verification that all valves are functioning properly.
  • If needed, replace, repair, or communicate needed issues with all equipment associated with CIP.
  • Flexibility of job is required due to numerous variables that occur with CIP performance.
  • May be required to assist in cleaning of areas within Sanitation departments, setting up equipment, or other forms of the sanitation job function.
  • Assist with Pre Operational Inspection of sanitation departments.
  • May be required to change schedule start time due to sanitation needs.
  • Familiarity with mechanics or mechanical principles is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Superintendent.
  • Management will appoint a trained designee to fill in for absentees and vacancies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with company employees and all levels of management.
  • Must be able to maintain prompt and regular job attendance.
  • Must be able to perform the assigned tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Ability to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.
  • May occasionally be required to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
  • External: *Must have 3 months previous work experience with a single employer within the past 18 months. *If the TM awarded this position reaches 5 attendance occurrences while holding this position, they will be automatically disqualified from their position and will be moved to labor pool within the department. They will then have 60 days in which to bid out of Labor Pool. Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. Vaccine verification will be required by October 1, 2021 for Corporate based team members and by November 1, 2021 for Plant and Warehousing based team members.
