Are you the person your crew can count on?

Some jobs let you punch in, keep your head down and watch the clock. This isn’t one of them.

We’re a hardwood lumber yard and kiln-drying operation. We’re looking for people who like staying busy, want to learn how things work, and know their effort matters to the people beside them. You don’t need to know lumber or manufacturing on day one. If you show up, pay attention and take pride in your work, we’ll teach you the rest.

You’ll do well here if you:

  • Show up. Your crew doesn’t have to wonder whether you’ll be there.
  • Notice when something’s off and want to fix it.
  • Learn by doing. You want to understand how the machines and the process fit together.
  • Take ownership. Once you’re trained, you don’t need someone watching over you.
  • Help your crew and take feedback from experienced people.
  • Take safety seriously. You know that shortcuts around equipment hurt people.

What you’ll do

  • Run and monitor production equipment
  • Keep lumber moving by straightening and positioning boards on conveyors
  • Catch quality problems before they move down the line
  • Recognize when equipment doesn’t look, sound or run right, and speak up early
  • Do basic preventive maintenance
  • Keep your work area clean and organized

Know what you’re signing up for

This is a working lumber facility, not an office or a climate-controlled warehouse. It’s physical, it’s noisy, and the temperature changes with the weather. You’ll stand, lift, bend, and sometimes climb or crawl for cleanup and maintenance. You’ll get dirty. At the end of the shift, you’ll be able to see what your crew got done.

Safety isn’t optional

You’ll follow safety procedures, point out hazards, and look out for the people around you. Required PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat and steel-toed boots. [If true: “We provide PPE” or “We offer a boot allowance.”]

Requirements

  • 18 or older
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and do physical work for a full shift
  • Able to read a tape measure accurately
  • Experience in manufacturing, farming, construction, equipment operation or mechanical work is helpful but not required

Where this job can take you

Learn the equipment. Learn to troubleshoot. Become someone your crew trusts, then help train the next person. People who do that move into advanced operator, trainer, lead and supervisor roles. You can earn that by how you work.

Benefits

  • Health: medical, dental, vision, HSA and FSA
  • Financial: 401(k) with company match, and life insurance
  • Time off: paid time off
  • Support: Employee Assistance Program
  • Referral bonus: bring in good people and get rewarded
