Description
Responsible for working as a team with Machine Operator I to accomplish the efficient operation of cup equipment, preventive maintenance, minor adjustments, and scrap removal.
1. Operate cup machines to achieve production goals.
2. Perform roll changes in an efficient manner.
3. Provide roll identification information for each roll used daily to Machine Operator I for recording on raw material tracking log.
4. Assist with necessary adjustments to machines to maintain quality and performance of paper cups.
5. Collect sample cups and assist with inspection of product for defects after each roll change.
6. Maintain areas around machines in a neat and organized fashion.
7. Remove scrap, store for bailing, and bail as necessary.
8. Report equipment malfunctions to machine operator I, production manager or maintenance staff.
9. Provide equipment downtime for roll changes, adjustments, maintenance and/or repairs to Machine Operator I for recording on equipment downtime log.
10. Clean, grease, and oil all equipment at end of shift.
11. Perform all duties in compliance with the Lighthouse Louisiana ISO Quality system procedures.
12. Adhere to the Lighthouse safety plan by utilizing safe workplace practices and reporting all injuries, near misses, emergencies, and safety hazards to supervisor.
13. Conduct all business in a positive, professional manner and maintain a strong teambuilding environment among staff members at all times.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
1. Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
2. Special Knowledge: Any mechanical ability will be considered
3. Experience: Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial
4. Supervisory Responsibilities: None
5. Physical: Must be able to lift 60 lbs. on a regular basis
6. Personality: Dependable, motivated to learn other duties, able to work well with others
7. Working Conditions: Inside, manufacturing/warehouse environment
8. Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, overtime as required by business need
9. Background Check and Drug Testing Required: Employment is contingent based upon satisfactory results.
