Machine Operator I – 1st Shift
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable Machine Operator I to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating automated wire cutting equipment while ensuring finished products meet required specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with measurements and production equipment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate automated wire cutting and stripping machines
- Follow process sheets and production instructions
- Change cutting blades, rollers, and guide tubes as needed
- Accurately measure materials using a ruler or tape measure
- Monitor equipment and minimize material scrap
- Count, bundle, and organize finished products
- Inspect finished products for defects and quality issues
- Read and interpret production prints
- Record applicable production information
- Perform basic machine troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Move between machines and workstations as production needs change
Qualifications
- Must be able to accurately and effectively read a ruler
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Good communication skills
- Basic math skills, including fractions
- Strong attention to detail
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to perform repetitive production work
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
- Ability to read and understand process sheets
- Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience
- Experience with automated machinery
- Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, or other measuring equipment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements
- Regularly lift and move up to 20 lbs.
- Occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, and pull as required
