Machine Operator 1st Shift

 

Monday to Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

 

Starting at $17.68

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

Operates various machine tools. Operation of multiple machine tools simultaneously, following standard operating procedures to achieve standard production quotas. 

Cleans machine fixtures and loads raw material onto machines. 

Machines parts from raw materials to produce finished products to meet Beretta U.S.A. blueprint specifications. 

Gauges parts produced, using calibrated instruments, to ensure that quality control inspection standards are met. 

Reports errors in production and performance to immediate supervisor. 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: 

Maintains work station by cleaning equipment and work area with appropriate materials. 

Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

Works with or around oils, coolants, and cleaning solutions.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

 

Work is performed while standing and requires constant walking back and forth from machine to machine within a work station (in areas of 20 feet or less).Work area may have uneven or slippery floor conditions. 

Physical exertion may be required to lift up to 40 lbs. and transport up to a distance of 20 feet. Lifts in excess of 40 lbs. may occasionally be required with assistance. 

Personal safety protective equipment as required. 

Performance of duties requires working in confined areas and seasonal hot temperatures. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES: 

 

Previous knowledge of tools and equipment used in precision metal cutting desired, but not required. 

* Make continuous or repetitive arm-hand movements. 

* Make delicate, highly-controlled muscular movements to locate small components in fixture and clamp parts together as a sub-assembly. 

* Read dial indicators and recognize problems with machines. 

* React to machining problems while back is turned. 

* Raise and transport up to 40 pounds. 

* Move between machines within the station. 

* Keep track of number of parts produced daily. 

 

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: 

High School diploma

No previous training required. On-the-job training
