What we are looking for 

Extrusion Helper - Night Shift


Location: Lakewood NJ - 1650 Corporate Rd W, Lakewood, NJ 08701

Hours:  Monday – Friday 7:00 PM  – 6:30 AM

Nekoosa Coated Products (CET Films) is currently recruiting candidates for an Extrusion Helper at their Lakewood, NJ location.

 

Safety Excellence

  • Maintain a positive work culture that is centered on safety to support a plant safety incident goal of zero.  
  • Achieve 100% safety participation every quarter.   
  • Participate in all safety training and conduct periodic audits of LOTO and confined space procedures.    

Production Excellence: 

  • Upon completion of training period, operate wide or narrow cast extrusion film lines.
  • Operate rewind or slitting converting equipment, as needed.
  • Prepare machines for production by setting up blenders, reviewing work order, adjusting settings and regulate throughout run by adjustment of controls.
  • Maintain specifications by observing operations; detecting malfunctions; inspecting web; adjusting controls.
  • Resolve production problems by altering process to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space by ensuring all tools, equipment and parts are spotless and put away in designated areas as measured by housekeeping audits.
  • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs through completion of production and quality logs.
  • Support clear metrics and performance versus targets for the organization comprised of the following: safety, quality, productivity, service and scrap.   

 

Required Core Competencies:  

  • 1-3 years of experience is preferred 
  • Knowledge of film extrusion and converting a plus
  • Organized
  • Safety-focused
  • Self-Motivated – Positive Attitude 
  • Results Driven:  Accountable, Respectful, and Different
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office  (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Communication Skills (Written/Oral) 

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. PPE, including safety glasses and steel toe shoes are required
