Canyon Creek is currently looking for a Machine Operator to join our team!

Full-time, Day Shift, 40 hours/week plus 8-10 hours of overtime per week during our peak season (occasional Saturday shifts).

Position Summary:

Our NBC Router Operator oversees machine setup, maintenance, and operation, ensuring precision in production to meet or surpass established standards. This role demands attention to detail in verifying output quality, strict adherence to safety protocols, and proficiency in interpreting schematics, drawings, and work orders. Competence in identifying wood species, loading correct programs, and inspecting material for defects is essential, as the machine processes entire material bundles and auto-labels. 

Tools Used: Tape Measure, Calipers 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Willingness to submit for pre-employment background check and drug screening 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to understand verbal instructions and written cutting orders.
• Must feed and cut materials accordingly.
• Must check material for any defects before loading the material back onto the cart to be taken to the next step in the production process.
• Must  know how to read a tape measure and use calipers. 
• Must follow established production standards, safety guidelines, procedures, and rules.

Salary: The compensation for this position is $23.96 - $28.99 hourly. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, physical role. You should be able to:

• Stand and walk frequently throughout the day
• Lift 1–70 lbs. depending on the task
• Push/pull loaded carts up to 150 lbs.
• Bend, stoop, twist, reach, squat, and climb as needed
• Operate foot controls and perform tasks requiring grasping and manual dexterity
• Work with equipment that produces low or high-impact vibration
