MachinistResponsibilities- Set up and operate Bridgeport manual milling machines to machine, repair, and modify centrifuge components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Perform precision machining to tight tolerances using various materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.)
- Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision tools
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy
- Perform light maintenance and routine inspections on machining equipment
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project specifications and deadlines
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Requirements- Proven experience operating a Bridgeport mill (manual machining required)
- Minimum 2–5 years of machinist experience, preferably in precision or industrial equipment manufacturing
- Strong understanding of machining principles, feeds, speeds, and tooling selection
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Willing to submit to drug and background screening
- Lathe experience (manual or CNC)
- Knowledge of balancing, tolerances, and high-speed rotating assemblies
- Vocational training or machinist certification
