JOB DESCRIPTION
The Machine Operator is responsible for running the AAC production lines efficiently by performing daily checks, monitoring line performance, handling basic troubleshooting, and escalating advanced technical issues to the appropriate technicians or engineers. This role supports production flow and ensures quality standards by following procedures and communicating effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and monitor the automatic assembly line according to company procedures and safety guidelines.
Perform daily equipment checks and complete the required checklists at the start of each shift.
Observe line performance and product quality; identify and report any abnormalities or issues promptly.
Conduct basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance tasks as trained (e.g., clearing jams, replacing materials).
Follow escalation protocols by reporting unresolved or complex issues to technical support or supervisors.
Maintain accurate documentation of production data, downtime, and incidents as required.
Ensure materials and components are correctly loaded and ready for use online.
Support team members by covering breaks and assisting with line operations when needed.
Comply with all workplace safety, quality, and operational policies.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Basic Machine Operation: Ability to learn and operate automated assembly line equipment following instructions and training.
Attention to Detail: Ability to read, interpret and follow checklists, procedures, and quality standards to ensure consistent production.
Problem Identification: Recognize basic equipment or process issues and know when to escalate to technical staff.
Communication Skills: Clearly report observations, production data, and issues to supervisors or technicians.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with others, including covering breaks and assisting teammates as needed.
Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing light manual tasks related to machine operation.
Computer & Documentation: Basic ability to use digital tools or software to monitor line status and record production information.
Compliance: Follow all safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures consistently.
Background
Demonstrate familiarity/proficiency with basic electric/electronic/mechanical/pneumatic theory and/or application.
1-2 years prior experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Ability to read and interpret simple technical drawings or work instructions.
Demonstrated proficiency using PC’s and applications such as Office.
Skill using basic mechanical tools.
