Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.
- Works safely as a requirement of employment; keeping work area organized, clean, and free of hazards.
- Ensures part conformance to quality/drawing specifications; able to use instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gages, scales and hardness testing machines/devices to ensure proper hardness and depth of parts.
- Possesses and applies knowledge of machining processes and equipment maintenance.
- Carefully loads and unloads parts to be machined into the machine.
- Performs equipment run and p.m. maintenance as required.
- Removes parts from machines by hand or mechanical means and deposits parts in containers
- Posts work output results to appropriate records.
- Processes parts through required cleaning operations.
- Operates all related equipment efficiently.
- Works well with others and communicates effectively.
- Performs other related duties as directed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years manufacturing related experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good mathematical skills; able to reason and calculate times
- Ability to spell, type, and read at an average speed
- Must be accurate and exhibit diplomacy and tact in dealing with others
