Machine Operator

Location:Avon, CT

Pay:$22–$27/hourTraining:All new hires train on 1st shift, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, for 1-3 months

Available Shifts

  • 2nd Shift:Operator opening (base pay up to $24, plus $2 shift differential)
  • 3rd Shift:Operator opening (base pay up to $24, plus $3 shift differential)
  • 1st or 3rd Rotating 12-Hour Shift:6:00 AM–6:00 PM / 6:00 PM–6:00 AM

Job Overview

We are seeking hands-onMachine Operatorsto set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment. Operators will perform machine adjustments and changeovers, monitor product quality, troubleshoot basic equipment issues, and maintain safe and efficient production.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery.
  • Perform machine changeovers and adjust equipment settings as needed.
  • Inspect products for quality, dimensions, and appearance.
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical and production issues.
  • Load and unload materials and finished products.
  • Use hand tools and basic measuring equipment.
  • Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
  • Follow work orders, production specifications, and safety procedures.
  • Complete production and quality documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate equipment or quality issues to maintenance and supervision.

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Comfortable working with machinery, hand tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and production specifications.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work a designated shift.

Preferred Experience

Experience withfilm, plastics, printing, slitting, laminating, coating, embossing, or other roll-to-roll/converting equipmentis a plus. Mechanical or technical training is also preferred.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position with paid training on first shift before transitioning to the assigned schedule.
