Responsible for the setup and operation of machinery to manufacture custom parts. The Machine Operator uses equipment, tools, and instructions to generate products that meet quality standards and production needs. Equipment includes Press Brake, Laser, Powder Coat and other machines.

Job Category: Hourly, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Responsibilities and Duties

Prepare raw materials for processing.
Operate and monitor equipment as assigned.
Utilization of work order processing software.
Participate in departmental meetings and training.
Abide by all OSHA safety requirements including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assists in performance of routine preventive maintenance as well as inspections of assigned equipment.
Follow established safety rules and regulations.

Secondary Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and clean workstation and production facility.
Assist in performance of periodic departmental and facility wide inventories.
Assist in periodic facility expansion and upgrade projects.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

1+ years' experience in machine operation.
Experience with blueprint/ schematic reading a plus.
Ability to individually lift 50-100 pounds.
Physical ability to work full day lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling in a non-environmentally controlled work environment in a loud work environment.
Ability to judge distances and read signs.
This position may require employee to wear a respirator during job performance for extended periods of time. Applicant should be prepared to successfully pass physical and FIT testing for respirator usage.
