Summary:

The machine operator is responsible for setting up and operating machines, making adjustments as needed and keeping up compliance with the quality standards.

Duties:

  •  Sets up and operates spot welders, laser machines and punch presses.

  • Sets up work centers.

  • Sets up and operates belt sanders for small parts, flange finishing and laser trademark machines.

  • Operates punch presses, flattening presses, grit blasters, shrink wrap, small drill press, blank sanding machines, belt sand and edge buff, RTV gun, perf machine and print labels.

  • Operates other machines such as small air or electric driven hand tools used for assembly.

  • May be responsible for wrapping, bagging, glueing, forming and packing of products into cartons and accessories and loading cartons on pallets.

  • Assembles, tests (including thermoplugs) rivets and crimps.

  • Loads and/or unloads parts to be cleaned and inspected for defects.

  • Makes final and in-process adjustments to assure quality requirements are met.

  • Wraps and packs a variety of cookware.

  • Maintains equipment and toolling and takes appropriate corrective action if required.

  • Moves material to and from the work area.

  • Keeps a clean and safe work area.

Requirements:

  •  Must have a

    bility to read and interpret sestup and manufacturing standards.

  • Ability to perform visual and functional checks using mechanical gauges, instruments and testing equipment

  • Good math and reading skills as well as ability to write 

  • Mechanically inclined
