Summary/Objective
Intermediate-level position responsible for operating multiple machines, performing start-up and maintenance checks, and adjusting settings to meet tolerances. Produce machined products in accordance with required quality, safety, customer specifications, and production schedules.
Essential Functions

Operate multiple machines efficiently
·
Perform start-up and maintenance checks
·
Adjust machine settings to meet required tolerances
·
Monitor production quality and report issues
·
Comply with all company safety requirements and perform 5S and safety checks
·
Perform quality measurements using gauges, micrometers, and other QC tools
·
Document job/part numbers and labor data for production
·
Apply Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methods
·
Observe and apply department and company Safety policies and procedures
Competency
·
Intermediate machine control and operation
·
Ability to handle multiple machines
·
Familiar with aerospace machining practices, tolerances, and materials.
·
Able to set up and operate CNC/Manual machines with supervisor oversight.
·
Applies AS9100 and ISO9001 standards in daily tasks.
·
Uses inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part conformance.
·
Requires supervision for troubleshooting, complex setups, or process decisions.
·
Ability to train on level 1 on approved machine
Work Environment
·
Exposure to machine oil and fluids
·
Manufacturing/shop environment with large power equipment
·
Lifting/moving objects up to 50 pounds
·
Standing/walking for extended periods
·
Working with and around sharp metal chips and tooling
Entry Level Qualifications
·
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
·
Formal training on machine operations and tolerances preferred
·
Ability to pass a physical and/or vision test as required
Entry Level Experience
·
3+ years of machining experience preferred
·
Experience with setups and quality systems preferred
