Welded Wire Mesh / Drawing Line Operator
JOB OVERVIEW
The Welded Wire Mesh / Drawing Line Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining either a welded wire mesh machine or a wire drawing line, depending on production needs and work assignments. This position ensures products are manufactured efficiently and in accordance with quality standards, customer specifications, and company safety procedures.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred).
· Prior experience operating welded wire mesh equipment, wire drawing line machinery, or similar manufacturing equipment preferred.
· Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production specifications.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Operate and monitor assigned production equipment, including either a welded wire mesh machine or a wire drawing line.
· Set up machines according to production specifications and perform adjustments as needed during operation.
· Load wire rod, wire coils, or other raw materials into equipment following established procedures.
· Monitor machine performance to ensure product quality, including weld integrity and mesh alignment on welded wire mesh equipment or wire diameter and surface quality on the drawing line.
· Perform routine quality inspections to verify products meet customer and company specifications.
· Complete production records, machine settings, quality checks, and report any production or equipment issues.
· Perform basic preventative maintenance and minor troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety policies and procedures.
· Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality personnel to resolve equipment or quality concerns.
· Report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety hazards promptly.
· Crosstrain on both welded wire mesh and drawing line equipment to provide operational flexibility as production demands require.

· Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
· Near/far vision, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
