Machine Operator – Manufacturing

2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
We are seeking a
Machine Operator
to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating machinery, monitoring production quality, and following safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and monitor materials and machinery to ensure production meets specifications.
- Feed rubber through or around machine rollers and dryers.
- Observe gauges and adjust machine controls for speed, temperature, and thickness.
- Cross-wrap finished rolls and unload/setup paper rolls.
- Operate overhead hoists to move rolls.
- Load and verify oven programs and parameters.
- Assist Calender Operator with order changes and setups.
- Complete necessary production documentation.
- Perform quality inspections and tests.
- Cut rolls, weigh, and prepare roll tickets.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot operational and quality issues, making machine adjustments as needed.
- Operate scrap grinders or siliconizers as required.
- Collect and record SPC data accurately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to two years of related experience preferred.
- Ability to operate a computer for data entry and retrieval.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, manufacturing terminology, and safety guidelines.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measurement.
