The Machine Operator is responsible for operating production equipment to manufacture high-quality plastic and composite products.
This role ensures that machines run efficiently while maintaining safety, quality, and production goals.
Machine Operation:
Operate assigned machines following established procedures and work instructions.
Monitor machine operation to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.
Adjust machine settings as needed to meet production specifications.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Perform basic measurements using tools such as calipers or gauges to verify dimensions.
Record production and quality data accurately.
Routine Maintenance:
Perform basic machine cleaning and upkeep to ensure smooth operation.
Identify and report mechanical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with team members to meet production schedules and targets.
Assist in material handling, including loading raw materials and unloading finished products.
Communicate any issues or delays to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operator role preferred.
Familiarity with plastics or composites manufacturing is a plus.
Ability to operate and understand the basics of manufacturing machinery.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Capability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position with standard shifts.
Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on production needs.
