Description

The Machine Operator will oversee all equipment on their assigned Production Line, adjusting and improving overall efficiency of the line. The operator also performs quality checks in accordance with the company’s HACCP plan and in process documents. The operator also acts as a back-up line lead as needed. This is a second shift opening. 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Learn all the functions of the production lines’ machines.
  • Train team members in how to properly use the equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair the equipment on the production line to keep the line running at high efficiency.
  • Maintain GMP standards and follow all requirements within the company HACCP plan.
  • Work directly with the Line Lead to improve efficiency of the line
  • Maintain work orders and actions items through company’s Production Software
  • All employees are responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, GMP’s and Honeyville Procedures. 
  • All employees are responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all Safety & Health procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times. 
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve our EHS performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results. 
  • May assist and/or suggest waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the function and department such as production material recycle or removal opportunities. 
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Education/Experience  

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 
  • A minimum of 1 year of inventory management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Forklift certified, or ability to become certified.
  • Must be a detailed oriented individual with the ability to organize and follow up. 
  • Basic knowledge of relevant computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, and spreadsheet software 
  • Knowledge of Inventory Control and parts clerk experience preferred. Ability to add, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers of common fractions, and decimal. Ability to perform basic shop math.
