Machine Operator – Lansing, Michigan (Onsite)

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm

Join Neogen and play a critical role in supporting global food and animal safety. We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our production team in Lansing, Michigan. This is a hands-on role working with automated equipment in a clean, well-organized environment. You’ll help ensure that our high-quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.

This position follows an onsite model to support business needs and foster strong team collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate automated machinery used to manufacture, assemble, or move parts, kits, and finished products

• Conduct inspections to ensure parts, kits, and products meet quality and accuracy standards

• Rotate between stations as needed to support workflow and accuracy

• Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on specialized equipment

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Manufacturing Procedures (SMPs)

• Adhere to ISO, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

• Maintain clean, organized workspaces using lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology

• Support supply management and participate in continuous process improvement efforts

• Assist in the transfer of new products from R&D into production

• Plan and prepare for scheduled manufacturing activities

• Comply with all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment

• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Up to one month of related experience or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Prior experience in a regulated manufacturing or production environment is a plus
