Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and flexo presses to produce parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure precise manufacturing.
- Use programming skills in Fanuc, CAM programming, or CNC programming to set up and adjust equipment for optimal performance.
- Conduct quality control checks using calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment; assist with materials handling and fabrication tasks as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery; troubleshoot issues related to CNC controls, tooling, or mechanical components.
- Support assembly line operations by using hand tools, welding equipment, or fabrication techniques to meet production goals efficiently.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing or factory settings with hands-on machine operation is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in operating CNC machines (including Fanuc controls), stamping presses, press brake machines, and CNC lathes.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings; experience with CAD software like SolidWorks is a plus.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality assurance.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAM programming, and CNC programming enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Basic math skills essential for measuring parts and calculating dimensions; familiarity with GD&T principles preferred.
