Job Description

We are currently hiring an experienced Machine Operator to join a precision manufacturing team in Houston!

Location: Houston, TX

Shift: 1st Shift | 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Pay: $20–$25 per hour

Contract Position

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate horizontal honing machines
• Adjust machine settings, tooling, and fixtures
• Produce high-precision components according to specifications
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Operate overhead cranes safely
• Monitor machine performance and perform basic troubleshooting
• Follow all quality and safety procedures

Requirements:

• Experience operating honing machines or similar machining equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience with precision measuring tools
• Ability to work with tight tolerances
• Manufacturing, machining, or metalworking experience
• Overhead crane experience preferred
• CNC experience is a plus
• 5+ years of experience preferred

You should be proficient in:

• CNC Machine Setup & Changeover

Machines & technologies you'll use:

• CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC)
