Machine Operator – 1st & 2nd Shift
Position Type: Long-Term Contract
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $22.00/hour, depending on shift and experience
Shift Differential: Available for 2nd Shift
Incentive: Up to $2.00/hour while operating designated equipment
Position Summary
We are seeking reliable and mechanically inclined Machine Operators to join our industrial production team. This is a hands-on position in a very industrial work environment involving the processing and disassembly of automotive components.
The Machine Operator will operate saws, cutting equipment, and other industrial tools to safely process materials and components. This is a physically demanding and repetitive position where employees should be comfortable working around used automotive parts, machinery, dust, debris, and other industrial materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial saws, cutting machines, and related equipment.
- Safely cut and process automotive components according to established procedures.
- Use hand tools and cutting equipment to disassemble parts and separate materials.
- Inspect materials and components for proper processing.
- Sort and organize processed materials for the next stage of production.
- Remove scrap and maintain an organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality and productivity.
- Perform basic equipment checks and report mechanical or operational issues.
- Work effectively as part of a production team.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in an industrial, construction, manufacturing, scrap yard, automotive, or similar hands-on environment.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience preferred; strong candidates with transferable experience may be considered.
- Comfortable working with hand tools and cutting equipment.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to understand how machinery and equipment operate.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding and repetitive environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
Physical & Work Environment
This is a very industrial, hands-on work environment. Employees should be comfortable:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Performing repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Working around machinery and cutting equipment.
- Handling used automotive components and materials.
- Working around dust, debris, noise, and industrial materials.
- Getting dirty while performing job duties.
- Following strict workplace safety procedures.

1st Shift
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
2nd Shift
3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Ideal Candidate
