**Machine Operator – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift
**Alsip, IL$19.00 – $22.75/hour1st, 2nd & 3rd ShiftWeekly Pay
Nexus Employment Solutions Plus, Inc. is hiring Machine Operators for our valued client at a steel facility in the Alsip, IL area.
**Job Responsibilities
**
Set up and operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Verify codes are correct at the start of each shift.
Monitor the production line and ensure all machines and equipment are operating properly.
Perform machine cleaning and inspections.
Perform equipment setups and changeovers.
Coordinate production operations for a line consisting of 4–10 people.
Maintain responsibility for product quality.
Coordinate training of line personnel.
Ensure the quality of packaged products.
Perform general light maintenance and troubleshoot machines and related equipment.
Maintain responsibility for the work area to produce a safe, high-quality steel product.
Perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications
**
Strong basic mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Able to lift up to 35 pounds for approximately 30 minutes at a time.
Flexible and willing to work as needed.
Able to stand for 8–10 hours per day.
Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to bend, stoop, and squat as needed for housekeeping and other miscellaneous duties.
Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and required PPE guidelines.
