Job Overview:

Location: Charlotte, NC 28273 | Onsite

Schedule: 4 x 10-Hour Night Shift | Monday-Thursday | 4:00 PM-2:30 AM

Pay Rate: $22.76 per hour

Training required on First Shift (Monday-Thursday, 5:30 AM-4:00 PM) for approximately 2-3 months.

What You'll Do

As a Machine Operator, you will perform a variety of repair, refurbishment, and equipment-handling activities in a manufacturing and service environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and performing basic setup of manual machinery, including mills, grit blasting equipment, rollers, and similar tools.

  • Operating furnaces, air-flow stands, spot welders, and other shop equipment.

  • Using forklifts, overhead cranes, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment to move products safely and efficiently.

  • Operating pneumatic tools such as grinders, air hammers, and related equipment.

  • Understanding the impact of material removal processes on future part usability and repair quality.

  • Performing basic inspections using precision measurement tools, including micrometers, depth gauges, and pie tapes.

  • Following established safety, quality, and operational procedures.

  • Supporting repair and refurbishment activities that contribute to high-quality product performance and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to pass a hands-on assessment demonstrating mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

  • Experience operating manual machines such as mills, grit blasting equipment, or similar machinery.

  • Ability to operate air tools, including grinders, air hammers, and related equipment.

  • Willingness and ability to obtain forklift and overhead crane certifications.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

  • Ability to handle and change 50-gallon remnant blast/coating media barrels.

  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors as required.

  • Ability to wear a respirator and successfully complete fit testing if required.

  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in industrial manufacturing, repair, maintenance, or refurbishment environments.

  • Experience using precision inspection and measurement tools.

  • Prior forklift and crane operation experience.

  • Mechanical, production, or maintenance-related trade training.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
