What You'll Do

As a Process Operator Crane, you will play a vital role in the setup, operation, and monitoring of manufacturing processes across multiple production phases. You'll work with sophisticated automated equipment, precision measuring tools, and material handling systems while ensuring quality, safety, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a variety of automated manufacturing equipment and processes.

  • Work from blueprints, engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, sketches, and work instructions.

  • Load and unload materials, components, and finished products using cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.

  • Perform equipment setup, adjustments, and routine operational checks.

  • Operate and support manufacturing processes involving:

    • Robotic grit blasting systems

    • Furnaces (air and vacuum)

    • Robotic coating booths

    • Laser cutting equipment

    • Welding systems

    • Belt sanders

    • Milling machines

    • Plating equipment

    • Inspection and scanning systems

  • Conduct in-process inspections and integrity checks to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications.

  • Utilize precision measuring equipment including calipers, gauges, micrometers, and related instruments.

  • Complete production records, operator verification documentation, and product identification requirements.

  • Assist with testing, measurement activities, data collection, and quality reporting.

  • Support preventive maintenance activities and maintain an organized work area.

  • Collaborate with team members by providing training, operational support, handling assistance, and measurements when needed.

  • Follow all established safety procedures, policies, and operational guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of manufacturing experience involving equipment setup, operation, and process control.

  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications.

  • Knowledge of metrology, visual weld inspection, and measurement techniques.

  • Ability to use close-tolerance measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

  • Experience working with stainless alloys and industrial manufacturing processes.

  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics.

  • Strong computer skills and comfort working with production data systems.

  • Ability to perform measurement conversions and maintain accurate records.

  • Ability to obtain or complete forklift, crane operator, and LPI certifications.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Applied trades training or technical manufacturing education.

  • Experience working in highly automated production environments.

  • Previous experience with CNC equipment, robotic systems, laser processing equipment, or industrial furnaces.

  • Experience with quality assurance processes and inspection systems.

  • Prior crane and forklift operation experience.

Pay Details: $33.00 per hour
