Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility is to repair machinery, troubleshoot and replace parts, and support the preventative maintenance program.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Repairs machinery and electrical equipment as needed
- Install functional and structural parts in equipment
- Supports the preventative maintenance program by fulfilling work orders
- Operates metalworking tools like lathes, drill presses, and grinders for part fabrication and repairs
- Research replacement parts and initiate purchase orders
- Assists in maintaining the maintenance inventory
- Adherence to Hub Labels safety rules and regulations, including wearing appropriate safety gear
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to read, follow oral and written instructions
Ability to apply common sense understanding to maintenance requirements
Document stable work history with good work habits
Education & Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Previous experience in HVAC and general maintenance is preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing for a minimum of 8 hours each day.
Regularly lift and/or move items weighing up to 40lbs; occasionally handle heavier weights with mechanical assistance.
Must be capable of working at heights equal to or greater than interior ceilings and external roof areas.
The job is performed in a manufacturing facility with changing environmental conditions affected by outdoor climate variations.
Moderate exposure to both heat and cold conditions.
Exposure to moderate noise levels, moving equipment, and typical manufacturing hazards.
Frequent exposure to sharp objects.
