Qualifications

The Machine Maintenance Technician position is responsible maintaining and repairing the fabrication machines and tools.

Essential Functions

• Support and sustain production equipment to maintain and continuously improve operation of production lines.
• Complete necessary maintenance to downed machines, as well as conducting preventative maintenance to upkeep machines.
• Safely uses common hand and power tools, including hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, and precision measuring tools.
• Follows all safety guidelines and promotes safety in the work areas.
• Pull tooling, put in machine to determine issues, and use other machines to reshape.
• Reinstall into CNC and input data from evaluations.
• Logs repairs and maintenance.
• Orders parts with Production Managers assistance.
• On call for all shifts.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
• Scan barcodes before starting and after completing of processes
• Pre-inspect materials before processing and double check material
• Pull measurements for accuracy
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Work Environment

This position will work in an indoor production environment around large machinery, overhead cranes, and power tools. There may be areas with wet floors. The production environment involves a consistently high level of noise.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; push; pull; bend; talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Individuals must have the ability to lift a minimum of 100lbs on a regular basis.

Required Education and Experience

• Experience working with common hand and power tools and maintenance equipment
• High attention to detail and good communication skills
• Able to strictly follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures
• Understanding of and compliance with Lock Out Tag Out procedures with all equipment
• Ability to take initiative in the problem-solving process and exercise good judgement

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience working in a production or machine maintenance role
• High school diploma
• Proficient computer skills
