Job Description
Following machine assembly drawings, manufacturer’s manuals, general instructions, and standard practices, locate the source of the trouble, disassemble, repair, adjust, align, replace and/or install parts as needed to restore functionality ensuring safe operation of simple and complex machinery.
Repair and adjust mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and/or parts thereof as required.
In accordance with instructions, manufacturer’s specifications and/or directions, make modifications to, alterations of and/or install new units/fixtures on mechanical equipment and/or its constituent components.
Perform any and all other machine maintenance and repair operations where troubles may be difficult to locate and clues to those issues are derived from physical symptoms, educated and/or experienced observations.
Assist higher-grade mechanics with more difficult repair operations such as locating the source of trouble, disassembly and/or reassembly, repair, adjustment, alignment and/or replacement of parts to ensure the safe and proper operation of more complex machinery such as CNC lathes and mills.
Lubricate, clean, inspect, and perform other preventative maintenance operations per manufacturer’s specifications and standard procedures required to maintain machines and equipment in satisfactory operating condition.
Report recurring malfunctions, potential trouble sources, worn or faulty parts, unusual conditions or cases where the trouble appears to be more complicated in nature and might require additional experience or training to diagnose and/or repair or where repair requires multiple individuals to safely complete the work.
Complete Daily machine reports for permanent record.
Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety. Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.

Works at various heights. Operates and works from moving and/or telescoping boom vehicles and equipment as required.
Cleans and stores equipment, tools, safety devices, protective clothing, etc.
Prepares working and recording sketches as required, notes material needed.

Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of education related to equipment maintenance or the equivalent work experience working with equipment maintenance.
Be proficient in the use of computers and the use of computerized equipment.
Be ale to obtain a DOD Secret level clearance.
Desired skills
Experience in repair and maintenance of CNC/Hydraulic equipment.
Experience with machine and equipment lubrication
Be able to break down and repair machinery at the component level.
Experience reading, interpreting and comprehending mechanical schematics and drawings.
Thinks critically and drives to understand how equipment works.
Willing to contribute to the team’s skill, knowledge and understand by positively communicating and assisting within a team environment.

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Premium Pay Statement
The base range for this position in California is $25.21 - $43.57.
