Job Description

About the Role:

The Machine Flexo Operator plays a critical role in the production process within the durable goods manufacturing sector by operating and maintaining flexographic printing machines. This position ensures that high-quality printed materials are produced efficiently, meeting both company standards and customer specifications. The operator is responsible for setting up the machinery, adjusting settings for optimal print quality, and monitoring the production run to detect and resolve any issues promptly. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to maintain consistent output and minimize waste. Ultimately, the role contributes directly to the smooth operation of the manufacturing line and the timely delivery of finished products.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating flexographic printing machines or similar industrial printing equipment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform machine setup and adjustments.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders, production schedules, and quality specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in flexographic printing or related manufacturing processes.
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical and print quality issues in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in industrial settings.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed to meet production demands.
• Corrugated paper industry experience.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and prepare flexographic printing machines according to job specifications and production schedules.
• Monitor machine operation continuously to ensure print quality and consistency, making adjustments as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to prevent downtime and extend machine life.
• Inspect printed materials for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and optimize production efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production records and report any operational problems or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
