Fusion, Inc. is looking for a new machine builder to join the team in advanced manufacturing. A person in this position will be able to turn a concept, engineer drawings and individual components into a fully automated brazing or soldering machine.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform assembly in accordance with blueprints/drawings, such as fastening parts with hardware, pipe-fitting, plumbing, and wiring.
- Install or replace machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions, electrical drawings, plumbing and pneumatic schematics during the assembly process.
- Use machines, industrial equipment and tools to assemble product, meeting specifications and quality standards.
- Identify potential problems with products or processes to ensure that quality standards are maintained and troubleshoot as necessary.
- Perform quality inspections on products and parts.
- Maximize time management to meet production goals.
- Maintain a positive attitude and respect towards co-workers and customers at all times.
- Apply developed knowledge of the position, company policies and procedures to complete a variety of assignments/tasks.
- Keep work stations orderly, storing & maintaining tools, parts, test equipment and documentation etc.
- Use of test and measurement equipment including dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, gauges, and multimeter.
- Lift and move parts and components, move in and around equipment during the assembly process.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be willing and able to learn the skills required for machine building.
- Follow verbal instructions and use assembly drawings.
- Use of standard hand tools, power tools and general equipment is a daily requirement.
- Critical thinking and problem solving are essential.
- Must have basic mechanical skills, flexibility and adaptability to learn.
- Experience with machine building and assembly is preferred.
- Experience with electrical wiring is preferred.
- Experience with blueprint reading is preferred.
- Experience with metal working is preferred.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
